DIX Narrator 2: After Jesus was born in Bethlehem during the reign of King Herod, there were Magi from the east who came to Jerusalem asking, "Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? (music begins) We have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him." Narrator 1: King Herod, disturbed by this inquiry, called together the chief priests and teachers of the law asking them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem of Judea," they replied, quoting from the prophet Micah. Narrator 2: Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the Child. Then report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him." Narrator 1: The Magi went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went before them until it stopped over the place where the Child was. There they found Jesus with His mother, Mary. Narrator 2: They bowed down and worshipped Him. Opening their treasures, they presented Him gifts of gold, incense, and myrrh.
