Light the stage and choir risers uniformly. During dialogue, lower the stage lights on the choir and add spotlights for Sarah, Nana, and Narrator. When the choir sings, bring their lights up and dim the spots on the speakers. Of course, raise the house lights up for the sing-along parts with the congregation! The Choir Director, not the Narrator, should lead the congregation during the "On Christmas Day" segment. Audio Provide wireless headsets/lavalier mics for speaking characters. Visual To fully enhance your production, the easy-to-use Accompaniment DVD available from Word Music & Church Resources at wordchoralclub.com is the perfect background complement that displays the lyrics for the choir and the congregation watching the presentation. Visit wordchoralclub.com for a video preview. MUSICAL OPTIONS The basic choral accompaniment for this work is written for piano and is included in this choral book. Full orchestra score and parts are available, as well as a variety of pre- recorded Accompaniment Trax options.* When choosing soloists, consider the singers' expression of freedom and naturalness in singing, as well as for their musicality.
