LESSON EIGHT – THE GIFT OF HOPE
Matthew 2:1-12
Narrator:
After Jesus was born, a group of astronomers noticed a new star in the sky. Familiar
with the ancient prophecy, they knew that this event signaled the birth of the long-
awaited Hope of Israel, the One would be her King. So they followed the star that led
them to the place where Jesus was. There they bowed before Him and offered gifts
worthy of royalty: gold, frankincense and myrrh.
