96 BRING A TORCH, JEANNETTE, ISABELLA (Narration begins on cue at m. 4) NARRATOR: And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born; he is the Messiah, the Lord. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host joined the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace and goodwill to all." (Luke 2: 8-14) CARRY ME TO BETHLEHEM (Narration begins with music) NARRATOR: When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. (Luke 2: 15-16) STILL, STILL, STILL (Narration begins on cue at m. 3) NARRATOR: When they had seen the child, the shepherds told Mary and Joseph what the angels had said about Jesus. Both were astonished at what the shepherds said, but Mary treasured up all these things, and pondered them in her heart. (Luke 2:17-19) LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH (Narration begins on cue at m. 6) NARRATOR: (Begin on cue, m. 6) On that first Christmas morning, the ancient prophecy was fulfilled. For unto us, a child was born; a son was given. And we call him Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching, our world puts its hope. LET US ADORE HIM - REPRISE (Narration TACET) Narrations (Cont.) For Preview Only
