2 65/2116&17MD-2 Foreword You've heard the phrase, "in the nick of time" right? I'm guessing you've even used it a time or two. 'In the nick' is that exact instant at which something has to take place. The idea is that a 'nick' is a narrow and precise marker, so that if something is 'in the nick' it is exactly where it should be. Friends, that Baby who was born so long ago, the Baby who would be a King like no other king? Yes, Him, the Baby Jesus. He came just in the nick of time—just when we needed Him! And today, how many times has Jesus been there just when you needed Him? In all those in-between times, all those waiting times, all those fearful and unknown times, we can be sure that He will come—just when we need Him. He always does. Sometimes we question His timing. We wonder why He is seemingly silent. Only in hindsight do we see His hand and realize that He was there all along. Sometimes we never get to know the 'why' of something, but that's when our faith steps in and we choose to hold on to what we know is true; He is at work and He will come precisely when we need Him—at the exact right moment.
