NARRATOR: Scripture tells us that on the first day of the week, before the rising of the
sun, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb expecting to see where
Jesus lay buried. But instead of the darkness of the grave, they experienced the hope of
the resurrection. The chains of death forever broken in the glorious light of the risen King.
