100 • In "We Three Kings," there are two overlapping parts on the bridge. Teach each one separately and let all the kids get very confident with each before starting to overlap them. Point out how the first one ("Let Your light shine…") is longer and smooth and begins right on the beat. The second chorus ("Shine, Shine…") has short, quick notes and begins after the first beat. Help the kids learn to be independent by having fun with these partner songs. Divide your group into two groups. Review "their" part with each group and assign an adult helper to sing with each group. Have one group stand against the wall on one side of your room and group two stand on the opposite side of the room. Go through what you plan to do. 1 – Group 1 sing the first Chorus. 2 – Group 2 sing the second Chorus. 3 – Both groups turn face their wall. Group 1 keeps singing their chorus 4 – Add group 2 singing their chorus. 5 – Both groups turn to face in and keep singing. • Present the lyrics of the bridge for "Rejoice" as a list. Have the kids read it aloud. Talk about each name of God. Ask the kids to help you remember other names of God and add them to the list. • Play Name that Tune. After you have taught the kids several songs over a few weeks, do this as a review. With no warning, just start doing the motions of a song with no music, no singing. As soon as they figure out what song it is, they stand up and start doing motions with you until everyone has joined in. Then sing it together.
