Foreword One of the most unique aspects of Christmas is that it is deeply personal. However, as deeply as each of us feels about Christmas, it is really meant to be shared! The Christmas story is a profoundly life-changing story, but we've lost the essence of Jesus' Great Commission if we keep it to ourselves. We will, in fact, become unwitting participants in today's Great Omission. nl y There are so many ways that people share Christmas. That's why we see lighting displays in nearly every yard we pass; it's why we hear familiar carols on the radio, in shopping malls, and even on custom television channels programmed to air non-stop holiday music, 24 hours a day! You can sense the sharing of Christmas in the greeting of a stranger you pass on the street and in the overall mood of generosity on the part of everyone you meet…(OK…nearly everyone). O Beyond the lights, sounds, and casual greetings, there's so much more to be shared, isn't there? There is a message of hope, a message of peace, a message of "God and sinners reconciled." And that's where the challenge lies: speaking the unspeakable, programming the unthinkable, declaring the impossible – God has become one of us! Marty Parks ev Will you let Jesus shine? ie w So, will you? Will you take the challenge? Will you tell it? Sing it? Speak it? Proclaim it? And share it? Will you take this old, old story and, with God's help, breathe into it fresh life and relevance? Will you let the Light of the World be more than just symbolized by outdoor lights and decorations? Fo r Pr P.S. For many of you reading this, the Christmas season and missions efforts, both local and foreign, go hand in hand. It is an honor, in this small way, to be a part of your outreach endeavors through this musical. d Contents in order of performance Christ Is Born Today ................. 3 includes Shout to the North and Good Christian Men, Rejoice Glory, Glory!
