The prophet Micah had predicted it: the Messiah, this
long-expected Jesus, would be born in the obscure, tiny
village of Bethlehem in the region of Judea. And in an
unlikely series of events, all the other prophecies concerning
this birth began to be fulfilled. An angel appeared to an
engaged couple and shared God's miraculous plan: a virgin
would conceive and bear a Son—they would call Him Jesus.
A census issued by the government required that they travel
to Bethlehem, the city of David. It was there that, on that
night of nights, God's Son was born.
