Soon the entire band is in on it with a Tower of Power-style sound that is sure to impress everyone listening! 2467934 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . . . 52.00 5971257 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . . . 10.00 Feeling Good—Bricusse & Newley/arr. Roger Holmes. From the Broadway musical "The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd," this fabulous standard is popular again with a stunning rendition by Michael Buble. Capturing the bluesy flavor of this version, here is a vocal solo feature sure to bring down the house. It can also be used as an alto sax feature. Highly recommended! Vocal in C minor. 10297513 Jazz Ensemble & Vocalist (or Alto Sax) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 55.00 10297514 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . 5.00 Feels So Good—Chuck Mangione/arr. Victor Lopez. Only rarely does a jazz tune cross over to the pop charts the way this Chuck Mangione classic did back in the seventies! Flugelhorn solo on the 1st trumpet part is featured throughout with the distinctive melody and then with a written or ad lib solo along with a tenor solo. The flugelhorn solo range is up to an optional written high C, but the solo is cued on the 1st tenor part as well. Victor's arrangement brings this contemporary gem within the range of the developing trumpet player without losing any of the hip appeal of the original. Here's a perennially appealing, samba/rock chart that will provide outstanding performance opportunities for your band and soloist! Highly recommended! 2480787 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . . . 52.00 10008791 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . . . 10.00 Honk—Jeff Jarvis. Ever since the widespread popularity of the Jeff Jarvis funk original Critical Mass, requests for a sequel have been pouring in. At last, Jeff has composed and arranged Honk, with all the characteristics that made its predecessor such a hit with jazz ensembles, only at a slightly more accessible level. Like Critical Mass, Honk begins with a cool sax section introduction, clearly placing your baritone saxophonist in the limelight, but without excessive technical demands. Everyone has interesting and challenging parts to play throughout and the modulation near the end gives it an extra, added lift. The solos are open and the backgrounds can be varied by instrumentation. This one is hot from beginning to end! Very highly recommended! 2702672 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . . . 55.00 10010356 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7.00 Moanin'—Charles Mingus/arr. Andrew Homzy. Here's a playable yet very effective arrangement of this signature Mingus composition. The familiar baritone sax riff is handled by three saxes, and there is also a substantial soli for the entire saxophone section. Optional parts are included for flute, clarinet and French horn. A terrific introduction to the genius of Mingus! 10041748 Jazz Ensemble . . . . . . . . . . . . . 55.00 10053811 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7.50 BASIC LIBRARY 20 JAZZ ENSEMBLE Amp Up Your Sound!
