Bach used the organ to play the solo violin part, accompanied by orchestra, a sublime transformation of his earlier composition. By this time, at the young age of 24, she had been married for three years with two children and proven adept at managing her family and her musical career simultaneously. Her virtuosity as a pianist was evident in the demanding accompaniments to these lyrical vocal melodies that expressed contrasting themes of love and longing; intimacy and loss; lightness and darkness. The singing style of the flowing musical phrases translate beautifully to the violin, allowing instrumentalists to explore the brilliant vocal compositions of a significant historical composer. 11403825 Violin Solo with Piano . . . . . . . A 30.00 Two Ave Marias for Violin and Piano (by Schubert & Bach/Gounod)—ed. Endre Granat. This one-of-a-kind collection pairs two of the most performed Ave Marias for violin and piano, meticulously edited by Endre Granat. The first of these is Schubert's immortal melody. The opening words and refrain of Ellen's song, "Ave Maria" (Latin for "Hail Mary"), may have led to the idea of adapting Schubert's melody as a setting for the full text of the traditional Roman Catholic prayer. The second Ave Maria in this collection was created when Gounod famously improvised the melody over the background of J.S. Bach's Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, from The Well-Tempered Clavier. Alongside Schubert's version, the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria has become a fixture at funerals, wedding masses, and quinceañeras. Both works have been recorded hundreds of times during the 20th century. 11419475 Violin Solo with Piano . .M 12.95 Violin Sonatas, Vols. 1 & 2—Ludwig van Beethoven/ed. Clive Brown. This edition consists of a score and two individual parts for the violin: an Urtext part based on the scholarly-critical assessment of all sources, and an annotated part with fingering and bowing by Clive Brown based on a thorough study of historical techniques and practices. 11324513 Violin Solo with Piano . .
