NARRATOR :
The huge crowds in the streets who shouted "Hosanna to the Son of
David" had heard Jesus preach and had seen Him perform great signs
and wonders. They proclaimed, "Never has a man spoken like this man!"
(music to "Underscore" begins)
But ultimately they would reject Him as their Messiah.
Jesus began to look to His destiny...a cruel death on the cross, offering
Himself as the Sacrifice for sin. Just a few days after that first Palm
Sunday, He would make His way to a garden...on a night which
would seem to never end...and spend agonizing hours there in prayer.
