NARRATION:
This is how the birth of Jesus, the Promised One, came about:
Mary, His mother was pledged to be married to Joseph; but before they
were together, she was found to be with Child through the Holy Spirit.
Because Joseph was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose
her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he
considered this, a celestial messenger appeared to him and said, "Joseph,
son of David, do not hesitate to take Mary as your wife. Her Child is
from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son, and will call His name
Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." All this took place to
fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophets, "A virgin shall
conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall call Him, Immanuel."
