" - - 22 42943 SHEPHERD 3: [Polly gives Shepherd 3 a small pie box.] POLLY: SHEPHERD 1: [Suddenly, Henry the Innkeeper enters.] HENRY: [Everyone in the Café (including the Choir) chatters excitedly, saying "What does he mean?! What did he say?! Is this the new Messiah?! This is exciting!" etc.] SHEPHERD 2: HENRY: SHEPHERD 3: HENRY: CHOIR: MAC: HENRY: SHEPHERD 3: HENRY: POLLY: MAC: POLLY: MAC: POLLY: [As the introduction to the next song begins, Polly, Mac, and the Shepherds move to Stage Left where the nativity is set up. Mary and Joseph are kneeling at the manger.] And that's what happened! Here's your Mount Carmel Pie to go. And there's no charge since this is such a special night. How we can see the newborn Savior you're talking about? We're looking for a Baby in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And He's right outside my inn! Who are you, sir? Name's Henry. Henry Hampton. And I run the Bethlehem Bed and Breakfast. But I'm thinking of changing the name to the Hampton Inn. Why? My wife has this idea to serve free breakfast every morning. We want people to remember us that way. It will never work! So how many people did you turn away tonight, Henry? This silly census is the best thing that ever happened to me! But there was a young couple that I couldn't fit in. What did you do? I set 'em up in a little stable out back. They're with their newborn Son right now. So what are we waiting for? Let's go see what the ruckus is all about. Polly, we can't leave! We've got customers to take care of! We'll lose a lot of money! Now, Mac, don't flip your spoon. Just simmer down. We can't miss this! Oh, alright. But if this is some trick, I'll never let you forget it. I think Mr. Izzy was right. "The people who walk in darkness will see a great light." The Great Light has arrived! For Preview Only
