32 44526 NARRATOR: And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. [Underscore Two begins.] But the angel said to them: Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. [Underscore Two ends.] [SHEPHERD BOY enters.] SHEPHERD BOY: I remember it was cold that night. My grandfather and I were watching the sheep with the others. He's been a shepherd for a long time, and he's teaching me his trade. It was just another night. But suddenly, it sounded like thunder and there were flashes of light. We jumped up and out of nowhere, the sky was instantly filled with angels! They were smiling, and laughing, and singing! All the shepherds huddled together…we didn't know what to do. Then, one angel came close to us and with a comforting look and smile told us not to be afraid. He said, "Unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior who is Christ the Lord." He told us where to find this Savior. My grandfather looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "The Messiah is born." I didn't know what it all meant, but we hurried to find this newborn Baby in a manger. For Preview Only
