41 44526 MARY: You know me through countless stories. I am Mary, the mother of Jesus. [Underscore Three begins.] Much has been written about me, but a part of me still feels like that teenager whose life was turned upside down by an angel who told me I was going to be the mother of the Son of God. Before I knew it, Joseph and I were on our way to Bethlehem for the census, and my time to deliver the Child was near. The city was crowded and…well, you know the story. But what you don't know and can only imagine is the overwhelming joy I felt when I saw Jesus for the first time. I drew Him close to me, and wanted to keep Him forever. But I knew what had happened on this quiet, holy night would change the world forever, and I could not hold on to Him as my own. [Underscore Three ends.] NARRATOR: It came upon the midnight clear, that glorious song of old. From angels bending near the earth, to touch their harps of gold. "Peace on the earth, good will to all" from Heaven's all-gracious King. The world in solemn stillness lay to hear the angels sing. For Preview Only
