They held to the promise which was written: "For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." But who could've imagined this Messiah, the Son of God would seemingly sneak into our world in the middle of the night. While so many were sleeping, unaware of His glorious arrival, NARRATOR : (music to "While the World Slept" begins) it was only a few lowly shepherds in a field watching and guarding their flocks who beheld an angel of the Lord and were told of the good news and great joy of a Savior born in Bethlehem.
