T Dignitaries from a far-off country worshiping the King of all kings… A newborn baby cradled in a feeding trough… a choir of angels glorifying God in the midnight sky… A teenage girl giving birth in a stable… hese familiar sounds and images express for us the wonder of Christmas, the amazing story of how our God became one of us. Noel & Alleluia is about these sounds and images, but just as Christ is uniquely re-expressed in each life He transforms, the wonder of Christmas is here uniquely expressed through a beautiful blend of the familiar and the fresh. Fettke has drawn together tra- ditional carols with new songs by some of the Church's finest living artists and songwrit- ers: Michael W. Smith ("Sing Noel", "Sing Hallelujah" and "All Is Well"); Shannon Wex- elberg ("Love Came for Me"); and Casting Crowns ("I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day"). The result is a musical celebra- tion for all choirs, of all ages and abilities. Noel & Alleluia provides Creator and arranger Tom opportunities for both child and adult solos as well as op- tional ensembles. Volunteer choirs will enjoy the artistic yet accessible choral music, and instrumentalists and con- gregations will be lifted by the ever-colorful orchestrations of Russell Mauldin.
