Stage right is used for the store scene and for scenes in ancient Israel. The store could have a few racks that Michael will bump into and also could feature a shopping cart. Because the scenes in ancient Israel take place during a dream, limited or no setting can be used along with dark, dream-like lighting. Stage left is used for scenes in ancient Israel, mostly for the Innkeeper's Son and Soldier. Minimal setting can be used for this as well as dark, dream-like lighting. Center stage is the family's living room. This room should be decorated for Christmas with a Christmas tree next to a grandfather clock. A couple of chairs and a coffee table could be in front of the tree. Two sleeping bags should be placed near the Christmas tree. In the back left almost out of view, the Present Transporter can be placed. PROPS Goggles, hand-held video game, sleeping bags, small presents, phone, lantern, large present for the Present Transporter that can fit four characters into it. The Present Transporter could be made from cardboard and could be three-sided and painted to look like a Christmas gift. COSTUMES Regular winter clothing for the family. Bip should change into pajamas during scene 2 for scene 3. Grandma should dress in a white robe with goggles when she is playing the Ghost of Christmas Past and then change into regular winter clothes for the final scene. Ghost of Christmas Present should dress in a green robe (Optional: dress as a cashier). Tra- ditional Jewish attire for the Innkeeper's Son. A suit of armor can be worn for the Roman soldier.
