version. Each enhanced book includes two CDs which contain accompaniment
recordings for each lesson. The second CD also contains iPAS- Interactive Pyware
Assessment Software - which, when installed on a computer, gives students
the opportunity to play along with the accompaniment recordings and have their
performances graded and recorded. Students will then know their strengths and
weaknesses as they progress through each new skill introduced in the lesson book.
iPAS is also beneficial to the director who can use the program to send assignments
and announcements; collect and listen to recordings completed by students at home;
search, sort, and print grades with many parameters; and upload lessons and exercises
to all students simultaneously.
