Inspired by the powerful and magnificent stallion, the music conjures sentiments of pride, strength, daring and sheer power of will. Through simple yet compelling meter changes, one can feel the stallion galloping as it goes through a series of changing moods - from bold to graceful and fierce to humble. A truly spirited work! 10607800 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 45.00 10607801 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . 5.00 l Spring UnfoldingPeter Terry. The title refers to a worker who assisted a blacksmith with his craft, wielding a hammer and shaping iron to their will. The dark and harsh atmosphere is enhanced by percussive sounds of their demanding craft. The break drum provides a hammered-iron effect while the china cymbal mimics the steam of tempering steel. A uniquely programmatic work great for opening a concert or providing an exciting finish. 10759635 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 60.00 10759636 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . 8.50 The Tears of Arizona (Pearl Harbor Remem- bered)Brian Balmages. Commissioned to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the music begins very solemnly, referring to the "tears" of oil that continue to be shed daily by the sunken ship. The section The Pride of Arizona moves past the tears and to the pride of the crew members and the feeling of the "spirit of aloha." Percussion loosely imitates the groove of a luau, yet is juxtaposed with moments of pause and reflection. The final statement feels incomplete, reminding the audience that the tears have not stopped flowing. Magical! 10607812 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 50.00 10607813 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . 6.00 4 TemblorSean O'Loughlin. Get ready to shake things up! The title is of Spanish origin and means tremor or earthquake, which is most appropriate for this developing band work. The music is as unstoppable as the natural disaster it embodies; aggressive in nature but with some well-placed repose followed by a stunning maestoso climax, it's sure to create quite a stir at your next concert. 10759653 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 60.00 10759654 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . . 8.50 H The TempestRobert W. Smith. This exciting work is guaranteed to make your beginners sound like pros! This would make a great opener for any young band concert, and your audience will be amazed at how good The Tempest makes your group sound! 2321453 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 56.00 2321461 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . 10.00 H The Tenth PlanetMichael Story. If you direct a band at the very easy level, you'll want to seriously consider this work! The idea of a possible tenth planet in our solar system excites the imagination. Here, the concept is depicted musically by moments of floating tranquility and bold themes full of the daring of space exploration. It's amazing what a fabulous effect is achieved here with such technically easy parts. A riveting overture and very highly recommended! 2472282 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . 56.00 2472283 Additional Score . . . . . . . . . 10.00 ThunderstruckSean O'Loughlin.
