Sing Christmas! ...a word from the Publisher Sing Christmas! brings together Mary McDonald and Joel Raney, two of the most popular sacred music arrangers in the country. In this collaboration, Mary's exuberant, dynamic style blends seamlessly with Joel's rhythmic and beautifully emotional music to provide your musicians with a unique Christmas event that is sure to become the highlight of the season. The work is comprised of four stand-alone suites, Sing Joy, Sing Noel, Sing Emmanuel, and Sing Gloria. Original music by both composers is combined with many favorite carols to create a perfect blend of familiar and new. The writing is accessible for most groups yet contains enough richness to provide any choir with a fulfilling choral experience. The op- tional two-person narration knits the four suites into a thrilling and complete re-telling of the Christmas story. These suites can be performed individually or combined in any number or order if a shorter work is needed. Included within the work are several options for soloists and/or children's choir. Total duration for Sing Christmas! in its entirety is about 45 minutes. Although it can be presented quite simply with piano and choir, a full orchestration by Michael Lawrence is available to provide an unforgettable cinematic Christmas experience.
