RHAPSODY IN BLUEGRASS - SATB
36
NARRATOR:
Now, life in those days was filled with hardships. Years of exile, slavery,
and oppression took its toll on the spirit of the people. Still, there were those
who kept the dream for a peaceable kingdom alive from generation to
generation. They passed down the words of the prophets in songs and
customs, and devotedly observed the faith. They listened to the words of the
scripture and lived each day with expectation and hope.
How beautiful on the
mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who
say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
