His Light in Us

Commissioned by the St. Olaf Choir for the 2016 St.
Olaf Christmas Festival, this work is a thanksgiving, a
song about the gift of a tiny child that suggests that
only the nature of love is changeless. It sings about
our renewed hope and how light now shines because
Christmas is a new and refreshing gift; our hearts
are renewed, and our hope is renewed. This joyful
reflection was written for Christmas, but can be sung
at any time of year as a song of hope.

Written for the famous St. Olaf Christmas Concert,
this lullaby, sung by Mary to her child, has a gentle
