10 OK, so, here's the deal . . . I had a dream last night that my baby sister didn't know how to talk to Jesus! Is this the same baby sister that can't talk at all 'cause she isn't even born yet? Yep! That's the one! Oh my goodness, Sheryl! This couldn't have waited 9 more months? Well, Sheryl might be onto something here. We should all investigate how everyone can have a relationship with Jesus. Yeah, I hear ya. I mean, I know He has saved me, but I sometimes get off track and need to be reminded of what it looks like to follow Him. That's what I'm talking about! We need to get to the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and most of all, WHY, of knowing Jesus as our personal savior! So, we can cross the WHO off our list. Maybe we should investigate WHAT. But first, I mean, my name is just David. I want a cool investigator name like the rest of you. We have Sheryl Locke, Maggie P.I., Nancy, Drew . . . Are you kidding? David was one of the biggest seekers of God's heart in the Bible. He even called himself "A man after God's own heart." David is the perfect name for you! (DAVID has an "ah-ha" moment and is satisfied) Let's look at the evidence! Everyone take out your magnifying glasses. (Everyone pulls out their magnifying glasses) Would this be considered "Magnifying the Lord"? (sarcastic and intermittently) Yeah, Drew, you're hysterical. Don't quit your daydream. So funny I forgot to laugh! Blah, blah, blah . . . OOOOOOKAY! If we look at Philippians 4:8, it gives us the perfect standard for what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus. It says, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, (music begins) if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
