Ziek. This sweeping work is named for the Mediterranean wind that originates in the Sahara Desert. This phenomenon is musically brought to life, re-creating the changing nature of this arid wind. As the air starts to move, the desert comes to life with the music evolving into a 6/8 world-music groove, enhanced by colorful pulsating percussion effects.
