(As the song ends, Jessica and Johnny applaud.)
JESSICA: Wow. I don't know what to say!
JOHNNY: Now that is an awesome rescue story, right there. Even if we
don't ever get off this island, I am so glad you guys came!
(At that instant, Johnny is interrupted by the appearance of a
bright light, seen by everyone.)
JOHNNY: Look!
EMMA: (pointing) What is it?!
MASON: It's a bright light in the sky!
JOHNNY: Another angel announcement?
TRENT: This is just like our Christmas show … the prophet Isaiah said,
"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light. On
those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned!"
OLIVIA: Or maybe, a star?
SOPHIE: Like the wise men who came to Jerusalem when Jesus was
born, asking "Where is the one who has been born King of the
Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship
him."
Helicopter SoundFX
(The sound of a helicopter becomes audible. As the light comes
closer, the sound of the helicopter gets louder.)
BILLY: I'm not sure that's a star!
LOGAN: It's a helicopter!
ALL: (ad lib cheers, "We're rescued!" "We're saved!" etc.)
(The group starts waving and celebrating, as their faces follow the
helicopter "landing" in the distance. Two crewmen from the
helicopter trudge onto the beach. They wear jumpsuits, helmets
and orange or yellow inflatable life vests.)
PILOT: (to the Captain) Are you from the S.S. Mango?
