MICHAEL: As much as we'd like to continue this celebration with all of you, it
looks like they've cleared the roads, and you can be on your way!
NICK: That's great! I'll go grab the suitcases from our room.
GABRIEL: I'll help!
(NICK and GABRIEL exit stage left and return with the suitcases.)
CAROL: We can't thank you enough for your hospitality. This truly is a
special place.
JOEY: Can we come back next year?
MARIA: Yeah, Mom, this was the best Christmas Eve ever!
CAROL: (smiles) We'll see. For now, say your good-byes.
ALL: (ad lib: Goodbye! Bye! See ya!)
(The KIDS hug the staff . NICK and GABRIEL have returned. The FAMILY
carries their suitcases across stage to the car (chairs) and get in. Lights down
on car, up on hotel.)
MICHAEL: I think our work is done here. Well done, everyone.
GLORIA: I wonder where we'll be next Christmas Eve.
GABRIEL: I suppose we'll be wherever someone needs a reminder of what
Christmas is all about!
ANGELA: Okay, team. Let's go. We've got a birthday party to get to. And I
hear it's going to be quite a celebration!
