MA 65.00 Killer on the Keys—Larry Neeck. A smokin', rock 'n rollin' romp, Killer on the Keys features your keyboard player a la Jerry Lee Lewis, the "Killer" himself. All the riffs and solos are completely written out, so that your budding keyboardist will feel right at home with the bluesy rock 'n roll shuffle style. Although the keys are featured, this full-sounding arrangement has plenty of licks for the rest of the band, including a section for written or improvised solos. There's tons of nice ensemble work and a lead trumpet range up to written A above the staff. Your piano player will get some well-deserved attention in this familiar Bobby Timmons' chart. The saxes grab the melody from the piano, and everyone gets in on the action for some real nice moments in the chorus. Written solos are included for piano, tenor and/or trumpet.
