Turner. Tannenbaum is a small-group holiday
swing chart based on O Christmas Tree and
features a written or improvised alto sax solo in the
solo section. Reminiscent of a 1940s swinger, it also
features a soft-shoe section at the beginning and
end. Additionally, the drummer can do some fills
that alternate with the ensemble. Mix and match the
winds with the completely flexible instrumentation to
achieve a unique sound or to complement available
instruments. You might also want to check out the

Three Guys is a flexible-instrumentation combo
chart based on the traditional carol We Three Kings
set in a jazz/rock style. Flexibility is the key to this

4, 5 or 6 winds plus rhythm section. Included are
15 different wind parts so that it can be played with
any configuration of horns available. There is a
16-measure open solo section with chord changes
provided for all winds and one suggested solo
included for guitar. The rhythm section parts are
completely written so that the players can play their
parts as written and in a groove the band will enjoy.
