They came to the inn for a place to stay, but we didn't have any
room left.
So I showed them to the stable where they could at least stay warm.
You did WHAT? That's no place for a pregnant woman! That's
where the animals are!
But there was no place left! And at least it's warm and dry, right?
Come on…I'll show you! (lead over to the "stable" set)
Shhh! Stay back…we don't want to disturb them.
(peeking around the edge of the set)
Mary and Joseph enter the "stable" scene – Joseph helping Mary
Are you doing alright, Mary?
(fluffing the hay in the manger) Let's just make this as comfortable
as we can.
There was no place left inside, but they said we could stay here
tonight so we would at least be protected.
That was kind of the innkeeper. There isn't much room left anywhere
it seems. Including in here (pointing to her stomach and laughing)!
Do you think it's almost time?
Only God knows…but I sure hope so! (whisper to baby in belly)
Come, little baby! The world has been waiting a long time for you!
