on a well-loved hymn. A contrasting middle

soaring countermelody carries the piece through
to a rousing conclusion. This piece will provide
a celebratory addition to Christ the King/Reign of
Christ Sunday, Easter and Eastertide, as well as

Rejoice, the Lord Is King—Patricia Hurlbutt.
For use on Christ the King Sunday, Easter, or
any general service, this festive arrangement of
DARWALL'S 148TH is as much fun to ring as it is
to hear! Joyous arpeggios give way to a chordal
treatment of the theme, complete with bold and
unexpected harmonies. A key change ushers
in a verse underscored by delicate martellatos
before a verse on the chimes is accompanied by
peals and arpeggios in the treble bells. A final
exuberant flourish ends the piece on a triumphant
note. With optional C4-A5 handchimes, this piece
is perfect for any celebratory moment in concert
or worship.

Remembering—John A. Behnke. An original
piece to remember those who have passed away
due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this reflective
piece has minimal bell changes and no sharing
of bells. The music begins with a tolling bell,
then a melody emerges which seeks to express
the significance of each life lived, including their
struggle with this virus. Use for All Saints or for a
memorial Sunday.

Spiritus Sanctus—Matthew Compton. Inspired
by Saint Hildegard of Bingen's poem of the same
name, this piece depicts the Holy Spirit bringing
all to life, washing them clean and healing their
wounds. The ideas of life and movement are
conveyed throughout. The expansive middle section
musically depicts the poem's phrases, "washing
them clean" and "healing their wounds," and the
sudden grand pause (G.P.) represents the ancient
sleep mentioned in the poem. Energetic, rhythmic,
and syncopated, the piece will be enjoyed by ringer
and audience alike.

Arnold. Mallets - on bells, on tables, on themselves!
- predominate in this fun arrangement of a classic
hymn. The result gives an almost marching-band
feel to the performance, making it as enjoyable to
ring as it is to hear. This is a sure winner that will be
accessible to almost any choir.

Sweet Hour of Prayer—William B. Bradbury/
arr. Mary Lou Fast. This arrangement will work
well as a prelude, an offertory, or during a time of
reflection in a worship service. The melody begins

There Is a Fountain—arr. Lloyd Larson. In this
setting of an old favorite hymn, the treble bells
set the stage with their gentle ostinato against a
lower melody. The melody then moves to the treble
with the bass taking over the ostinato. All combine
for a rich and glorious final verse before ending
peacefully. The violin part, while optional, gives a
lovely Appalachian quality to the hymn tune.

option for many Sundays throughout the year.

This Little Light of Mine—Harry Dixon Loes/
arr. Barbara Brocker. This bell tree solo or duet
arrangement provides the new bell tree soloist
with a simple yet effective piece. A second bell
tree solo rung by a more advanced ringer or
played by a C instrument makes it a duet. The
simple accompaniment of quarter, half, and whole
notes can be played by a beginning three-octave
bell or chime choir or on a keyboard. Includeds
director's score, a bell tree 1 score, a bell tree 2
or C-instrument score, and a separate score for
handbells, handchimes or keyboard to give the
beginning ringer a score which is easily readable in
larger print. This arrangement is 51 measures and is
scored with a bluesy swing feel in C major. Options
for performance are listed in the director's score.
