L This Is My Story and Song!—arr. Lloyd Larson.
"Praising my Savior all the day long!" Lloyd Larson
has created an exciting medley of hymns by Fanny
Crosby that we all know and love, including Blessed
Assurance, Jesus Is Mine; Praise Him! Praise Him!;
To God Be the Glory and He Hideth My Soul. It is sure
to have congregations smiling and singing along.

This Little Light of Mine—Mack Wilberg. This
radiant anthem is an arrangement of the hymn tune
LATTIMER, often paired with the popular gospel song,
This Little Light of Mine. Wilberg gives each section
of the choir a presentation of the melody, before
building toward a climatic finish with new harmony
and texture as light spreads "across the land."

D The Time of Song—David Schwoebel. Divided
into two sections, this anthem begins with a
passage from the Song of Solomon and offers it
in a pleasing 3/4 tune that celebrates the birth
of Spring. The second section is a syncopated
theme with Zulu text punctuating English in a
spirited invitation to praise. Oboe and percussion
instruments are strong additions.

To First Seek the Kingdom—Michael John Trotta.
This sublime new look at beloved texts employs an
economy of choral writing. The SATB choral texture
is shaded by sections of unison writing, with some
brief points of a cappella writing and divisi. The
innovative approach to the text utilizes a question-
and-answer format with the question sung in a
subdued fashion and the answer intensifying in
range, complexity, and volume. The piano and flute
parts provide an underlying momentum.

Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philippians 4:4-8, this

ending. The memorable original melody is easily
sung by optional congregation.

stunning setting of the traditional Latin text is so rich
and so deep that the music perfectly matches the
quietly profound ardor of the timeless plainchant.
The clarinet provides an ethereal counterpoint
to the SATB divisi a cappella voices that are lush
with occasional cluster harmonies. Intended for a
capable choir, it can be performed in both worship
and concert settings.

work speaks to ideas of peace, unity, respect, and
understanding and is appropriate for both sacred
and secular settings. Composed for mixed chorus,
piano, violin, and violoncello; the alto and soprano

lovely prayer of commitment to do God's will is
accompanied by a rapturous piano accompaniment
and optional violin and cello, which are especially
effective in the interludes. The final stanza opens
with chorusing alleluias that spring from the texture
because they are unaccompanied. Very effective for
confirmations, baptisms, and dedication Sundays.
