S-Cubed Sight Singing Program - Distance
Learning Version, Level 1 Complete Bundle—
Dale Duncan. S-Cubed Sight Singing Program for
Beginners has been used by teachers for years. In
the response to the need for ready-to-go distance-
learning resources, Mr. D has worked with
teachers to develop a distance-learning version
of the program. This program is cumulative, so it
is important to start with lessons 1-5. Hosted by
long-time S-Cubed user Mario Contreras, AKA Mr.
C, the distance version can be uploaded right into
your Google Classroom or other digital platform
so students can continue building music literacy
whether they are in a traditional school setting or
not! Proceeding sequentially through the lessons
will enable your students to sight-sing in two parts,
a cappella, with skips as wide as an octave, and
with syncopated rhythms. The original version of the
program was created to be taught in a traditional
group setting, but this adapted version is intended
to help those who will be teaching music virtually.
Assessments are included, but Mr. D recommends
that you consider purchasing the Music Prodigy/
S-Cubed package for added practice, assessment,
and accountability.

lt Steps to Harmony—Nicholas Palmer. This series
was designed to be useful in all teaching situations,
from middle school on up. The range is limited to
one octave - C to C - so that everyone sings in a
comfortable range throughout. The flexible, modular
design of this series allows you to concentrate on
just the levels of complexity you want and adapt
them for any kind of choir configuration. Ideal for
use in a music curriculum spanning several grade
levels. Beginning with stepwise, diatonic quarter
notes, it's written polyphonically, so that every part
is melodious and develops independence. Each
exercise is written so that it can be performed in an
unison, 2-part, or 3-part format. Since the lines of
each exercise are interchangeable, each exercise
can be sung three times, each voice singing a
different line each time. The original volumes were
available for treble clef choirs with a separate
edition for bass clef singers and a combined
version, but SAB, TTB and TBB versions were also
added. Fully reproducible and available as a digital
download, this reusable resource works year after
year in a variety of formats.

Super Solfege Seven!—Matthew Gawronski.
Don't let the name scare you away! Perfect for any
classroom or ensemble, Super Solfege Seven is a
fun bingo-style solfege and rhythm identification/
audiation game that you and your students will love
- and it will help your students build those critical
audiation skills. Students attempt to correctly identify
various four-beat pitch and rhythm patterns and

game card handouts. As a bonus, after the game,
the backs of the game cards have prearranged
staffs where students can create their own melodies
using the examples they just identified. There are
ten unique game card handouts in the download, so
you can play time and time again. The video explains
and takes students through all aspects of the game
- run time 20 minutes.
