The great Karl King wrote many wonderful and interesting works. Heavy at times and light at others, this march was often used in the circus to accompany tiger acts. An ominous introduction leads to a lumbering first strain, followed by an almost ragtime-like second strain. The trio features a melody with euphonium countermelody. The weighty break strain returns to a minor key feel and then concludes with an embellished version of the trio.
