Mike Story. You know it, you love it! The opening motive is very catchy on this authentic sounding chart on the rock classic made famous by the group Chicago. Everything you need is written out, including brief solos for trumpet 1, trombone 1 and optional guitar. With easy brass ranges, it's easy to rehearse and play, but still a hard-driving chart. You guessed it, Alligator Boogaloo is a funky rock chart with a boogaloo groove played around 136 bpm. It's a simple blues with a great melody introduced by alto and trumpet. The solos are written or ad lib for tenor sax and piano, the lead trumpet range is to written E top space, and optional parts are included for vibes, flute, clarinet and more. This one is accessible, solid, and includes nice contrasts. Michele Weir & Blair Bielawski. This stunning music was written by Dallas-based Rosana Eckert for her debut album in 2003. It is a light and sophisticated bossa with some gorgeous harmony. There is an eight-measure written or ad lib solo that may be played by tenor saxophone and/or guitar. Though not technically demanding, this chart does require some thoughtful playing by the winds and rhythm section.
