and energetic work helps young players learn to
"fight the resistance" when playing close to the

Francis-Ma. A light and cheerful arrangement of the
popular Chinese children's song. Your bass section
will venture briefly into fourth position for their turn
at the tune. Players will reinforce arco, pizzicato
and left-hand pizz, and eighth notes. Every section
enjoys a turn at the melody. Basses make one brief
shift into fourth position. Your orchestra will love the
chance to say "goodbye" in Chinese, "zai jian!"

Fire in the Bow—Brian Balmages. Conceived as
an energetic and musically rewarding work, this
piece also happens to be an excellent vehicle for

focuses on simple finger patterns while exploring
dynamic harmonies that create wonderful tension
