Genesis—Rossano Galante. Written for more
advanced full orchestras, this stunning original
cinematic overture will transport your orchestra
to the movie soundstage. It's a musical journey
that depicts the rebuilding of humankind into a
utopian society. The scene is set with a dramatic,
rhythmic ostinato joined by the melody and builds
to an intense peak before slowly fading away. This
piece provides plenty of technical displays for your
string and woodwind sections as well as the perfect
opportunity to showcase the power and range of the

Lux Aurumque—Eric Whitacre. Upon reading
Edward Esch's poem Light and Gold, Eric Whitacre
was immediately struck by its genuine, elegant
simplicity. He asked the celebrated American poet
Charles Anthony Silvestri to translate it into Latin
for his seminal Lux Aurumque for mixed choir a
cappella. A simple approach was essential to the
success of the work, and he waited patiently for
the tight harmonies to shimmer and glow. The
transcription for full orchestra was premiered by
the Minnesota Orchestra.

A Matador's Tale—Mark Lortz. With traditional
Spanish flair, this programmatic work depicts a
