This beautiful work is a setting of the Latin Mass appropriate for both worship and concert use. The text is that of the Ordinary of the Mass excluding the Credo, with the Gloria being divided into four movements. The Kyrie has a noticeably Celtic flavor. The Benedictus, for treble voices, is available as a separate octavo. 11373298 SATB Choral Score divisi. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.95 11373299 Director's Score divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 70.00 l The Song of Harvest—Bob Chilcott. With the theme of thanksgiving, this work is an artfully crafted celebration of the earth and its riches. It is structured around five familiar hymns given original melodies and the opportunity for the audience or congregation to join with the choir. The work may be performed as a whole or each hymn sung separately. 11372376 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 15.50 lL Te Deum: Laudamus Propter Musicam (Te Deum to Music)— Allan Robert Petker. The traditional Te Deum takes on a fresh perspective in this three-movement work; the full title means "praise to God for music." The first movement pays homage to our Baroque ancestry in its Handelian treatment, but in modern-day tonalities. The second is lush and tender, while the third blends the traditional Latin text with the beautiful poetry of Fred Pratt Green, When in Our Music God Is Glorified. Composed for choir and orchestra, it is performable with piano alone or with several different orchestral options. It has been performed at Carnegie Hall and throughout the U.S. and Europe. 11356663 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9.99 11356664 Full Score for Small Ensemble. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 75.00 11356665 Full Score for Chamber Ensemble. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 85.00 11356666 Full Orchestra Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100.00 NEW from Craig Courtney! DIVINE ENCOUNTER Each movement may be sung separately or combined for a festival worship service. A variety of accompaniment options are provided: organ, piano, string quartet, brass sextet, or full orchestration. Visit jwpepper.com for more information. lL Divine Encounter: I. The Invitation—Craig Courtney. The first movement of the trilogy Divine Encounter is a song in which God invites us to receive His bounty. The first verse of Isaiah 55 is expressed as a celebration rather than the meditative, lyric manner found in most settings. In contrast, the setting of the sixth verse is regal, earnest, and authoritative; the architecture of the movement is built upon the contrast between these two styles. 11375962 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.35 lL Divine Encounter: II. The Offering—Craig Courtney. The second movement of the trilogy Divine Encounter is based on Micah 6:8 and is a regal and stately expression of our gratitude. As we partake of God's bounty, we are urged to offer ourselves as living sacrifices to serve God and people alike. 11375968 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 lL Divine Encounter: III. The Blessing—Craig Courtney. The third movement of the trilogy Divine Encounter is a newly composed benediction based on the traditional text from Numbers 6:24-26. As Jesus blessed and multiplied the fish and bread, so God blesses the offering we bring to Him. The melody, which is one huge arc, is stated twice, creating a simple, sincere message of peace and rest. 11375956 SATB divisi . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 Lt A Call for Peace—Jerry Estes. This timeless call for peace in the world, based on a Gregorian chant-like vibe in minor mode, creates an ancient-modern concert work with a message that is appropriate for any time of year. Designed to be three-part a cappella, but with options for piano accompaniment and additional percussion, this well-crafted piece is easy to learn and impressive to perform. 11202514 Three-Part Mixed . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 11202515 TTB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.25 lL Can We Sing the Darkness to Light?— Kyle Pederson. The text of this work invites the listener to imagine a world without weapons of war where the human experience is defined through the lens of mercy and compassion. The music is peaceful and very appropriate to the text with little divisi in the choral parts and a supportive piano accompaniment. 10994208 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.55 11372826 TTBB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.65 Deep Peace—Elaine Hagenberg. Beautifully capturing the essence of a traditional Gaelic blessing, this original setting evokes the natural tranquility of a "gentle night" where the "moon and stars pour their healing light on you." The flowing piano accompaniment supports the soaring legato vocal lines to create a mature and artistic texture while remaining accessible to choirs in school, church, or community settings. 11341294 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.50 11341295 String Quartet . . . . . . . . . . . . . 35.00 Justice—Rollo Dilworth. Employing the Civil Rights refrain "Let justice roll" and a poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar, this work is both inspirational and instructive. Set in a rhythmic groove, the work builds to a powerful gospel chorus with a harmonized melisma on the word "roll," as if to symbolize the spread of justice throughout the land. It is ideal for MLK concerts, community events and concerts of all types! 10364824 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.10 DL Peace—Patricia Mock/arr. Richard A. Nichols This is an ideal anthem for services dealing with prayer for peace in our world and the prayer for the light of Christ to shine: "In a world where hatred seems so strong, may your grace right the wrong. Give your peace." This choral setting, features a powerful text and gorgeous music, is a prayer. 10907273 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.30 11165110 SAB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.30 10907274 P/A CD . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 29.95 D Put Peace into Each Other's Hands— John Purifoy. An inspired pairing of the beloved tune ST. COLUMBA with Fred Kaan's unforgettable text, this is a song of unity and fellowship with one another. The approachable vocals include an a cappella stanza that is very effective. An effective modulation helps to lift the last stanza to an effective conclusion. 11165991 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.15 L Roll Down Justice!—Mark A. Miller. The title track from Mark Miller's new songbook Roll Down, Justice! is now soulfully set for mixed voices, including an optional congregation part for use in worship. Based on Psalm 133, "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" this anthem encourages us to build bridges rather than walls. Incorporating the tune and some text from the hymn Blest Be the Tie That Binds, the music moves along easily in a lilting 6/8 meter while the text affirms the unity that comes from common belief. 11346667 SATB. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.50 Ht Will the Circle Be Unbroken— arr. J. David Moore. This wildly popular arrangement is a favorite with choral festivals all over the country.
