This original piece becomes a voice for change when used with the poem provided. The music opens with haunting harmonies and open voicings that create a yearning feel. This section repeats throughout the piece, allowing for the "Do you hear the voices" narration to be heard. In between, a lovely, almost hymn-like original melody is developed and explored in reaction to the readings. From introspection to assertion, this is an excellent choice for the group looking for something different to provoke thought and challenge musicality. 11375879 4-7 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L4- 5.95 We Praise You with Our Minds, O Lord Thy Word Is Like a Garden, Lord arr. Cathy Moklebust. The Irish melody CLONMEL is treated in Celtic styles with singing bell drones, a lilting original melody, optional handchimes, and an optional part for violin or other C treble instrument. The hymn is presented as a set of variations, from flowing and lyric to a march, a round, and a grand and glorious final verse that gradually fades away across the hills. The Celtic-style ornamentation is optional, making this arrangement accessible to many groups. 11375589 3-5 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L3 5.95 What a Friend We Have in Jesus arr. Mitchell Eithun. This gentle setting of the familiar hymn is warm and uplifting. Written for either handbells or handchimes, the piece has no bell changes and may be played without tables if desired. The flute part, while optional, greatly enhances the beauty of this lovely arrangement. 11375588 3-4 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L1 5.50 When We Gather Sing & Ring Series Kathleen Wissinger. Based on Matthew 18:20, "When two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them," this piece speaks to the presence of God amidst his people. The handbell part can be a beautiful stand- alone piece, or provide accompaniment for the hymn. The verses may be sung by choir or soloist, with congregation joining on the refrain. A guitar part and insert for the congregation is included. 11361796 3-6 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L3 6.00 Sassy Walk Linda Lamb. This piece is lively, bold, full of spirit and somewhat cheeky. The clever melody saunters up, down, and about with confidence and purpose in this light-hearted original composition that employs various stopped sound techniques. Sassy Walk grabs and holds your attention, making it an excellent choice for concerts. If you're looking for music that will enable your ensemble to 'strut their stuff', this piece delivers! 11359394 3-5 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L3 4.95 Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us arr. Lloyd Larson. This arrangement is an idyllic choice for use in worship. Combining the Bach chorale Sheep May Safely Graze with the hymn tune BRADBURY, it masterfully alternates between the two tunes, casting them both in a new light. A final bold setting of the hymn tune leads the piece back once more to a calm, serene ending. 11375877 3-5 Octave. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . L3- 4.95 Small-ER but Mighty: 8 Bells with Piano, Vol. 4 arr. Joel Raney. These eight arrangements for eight bells are accessible and beautiful. The piano fills out the harmonies and provides depth of sound. The handbell parts may be rung without tables. An accompaniment CD is also available. If you have handchimes at your disposal, teaching music reading with the help of colors couldn't be simpler! Using colors or shapes corresponding to pitch names is an effective way to teach eye and hand coordination to non- music readers. Colored bands can be wrapped around the handchime tubes so that each ringer can identify a pitch with a color. In the case of color-blindness, the shape may also be drawn on the band. The success rate in learning is quite high, and this process is a natural step leading to music literacy. Used in Boomwhacker and KidsPlay systems. Available in packets of eight band colors (five of each color) and a template for trimming the bands to size. 11207747 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8.88 Go to Cart
