Angels Visit When We Sing—Tom Trenney.
This setting of the Thomas Troeger text
reminds us of the power of music to connect
heaven to earth and that the greatest cause
for singing is the resurrection. Its opening
"alleluias" are woven in a cascade throughout
the anthem and provide a prayerful close.
Scored for SATB voices and piano, this anthem
is suitable both for Christmas and any service
of worship and praise.

"glorias." Orchestration available separately

Angels' Noel—Pepper Choplin. Creatively
pairing new music with two Christmas carol
texts, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and Angels
We Have Heard on High, this bright anthem
is an excellent complement to a Christmas
carol sing-along. Light syncopation, a touch of
mixed meter, and driving eighth notes provide
an energetic flow.

Artist of the Heart—Kevin A. Memley. This
beautiful anthem combines the themes of
music appreciation with servitude in a truly
artistic way, both musically and textually.
Above these themes is also a song of praise
and thanks. The optional string quartet adds
more color to the piece which mirrors the
prayer in the words.

Away in a Manger—arr. John Ferguson.
Using the tune CRADLE SONG, this anthem is
written with the feel of a graceful Austrian
Landler and is both accessible and versatile.
The range works well for both adult and
adolescent voices. This familiar carol was
lovingly arranged by John Ferguson for his
grandson. Consider including children's voices
on the optional solo verse.

Away in a Manger—William J. Kirkpatrick/
arr. Chris de Silva. This arrangement of
CRADLE SONG is inspired by the traditional
words but diverges just enough to provide
a more theologically reflective alternative
to the original. The anthem is written for
SAT and keyboard, with lovely soothing
interludes between verses and at the end.
Included in the octavo is an a cappella SATB
version in strophic form that may include the
congregation/assembly. A lovely addition to
your Christmas worship service.

Away in a Manger—arr. Ola Gjeilo. The
beloved carol shimmers in this magnificent
setting for four-part mixed voices, a cappella.
The familiar Kirkpatrick melody is introduced by
a soprano solo which may be sung by either an
adult or a child. The gorgeous hummed chord
progressions create a smooth, deep texture,
setting this apart from all other arrangements
of the carol. Equally appropriate for school or
church performances, it is simply exquisite.

hopeless night. Share the light with a friend
and watch the flame grow. The more light we
