This superb Latin mass setting for choir and organ demonstrates the composer's strong melodic sense and innate feeling for choral sound. The atmospheric Kyrie leads to a Gloria that contrasts vibrantly rhythmic passages with smoother, expressive sections. The mysterious harmonies of the Sanctus pave the way for a tender Benedictus, and the Agnus Dei is a haunting and powerful prayer for peace. 11392416 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . 15.50 Missa Deus Nobiscum (Mass of "God with Us")—Philip W. J. Stopford. This beautiful work is a setting of the Latin Mass appropriate for both worship and concert use. The text is that of the Ordinary of the Mass excluding the Credo, with the Gloria being divided into four movements. The Kyrie has a noticeably Celtic flavor. Soprano Solo, SATB divisi and keyboard or orchestra. 30 minutes. Note: Benedictus, for treble voices, is available as a separate octavo. 11373298 SATB Choral Score divisi . . . . 9.95 11373299 Full Score Orchestra. . . . . . . 70.00 Missa In F—Antonio Caldara/ ed. Klaus Winkler. The Venetian-born Antonio Caldara (1670-1736) worked under Johann Joseph Fux between 1716 and 1736 as deputy court music director of the Vienna Hofmusikkapelle (Court Music Orchestra). An incredible 3400 compositions were penned by him, including about 150 Mass settings. Edited here for the first time, the Mass in F Major for four-part mixed SATB choir, two violins and basso continuo from the collection of the Dresden Chapel Royal shows Caldara's great popularity far beyond national borders. Indeed, this Mass impresses through its successful synthesis of traditional contrapuntal style and typical affects of that time. The editor, Klaus Winkler, has furnished a setting for mixed choir and organ/piano and has thus made the Mass accessible for smaller congregations as well. 11174860 SATB Full Score . . . . . . . . . . 21.00 11174861 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . 8.80 11174862 Instrumental Parts . . . . . . . . 17.75 Missa Ruralis, Op. 6, No. 3— Marianus Konigsperger/ed. Rupert Gottfried Frieberger. Marianus Konigsperger, who worked as a lay brother in the Benedictine monastery of Prufening, composed this "rural Mass" in F major to be a melodically memorable and easily singable Latin Mass for smaller church choirs. Individual passages in the soprano and bass, which can also be sung as solos, provide variety and also make a performance with a very small setting possible. This is a well-composed little Mass with simple means that can complement every church service, even today. 11174863 SAB Choral Score . . . . . . . . . 8.80 Requiem—Kim Andre Arnesen. A nine-movement work for strings, solo trumpet, three percussionists, and child soprano, soprano, and mezzo-soprano soloists. The main movements of the Requiem Mass are set in Latin. Two extra movements were added that include English texts by Emily Dickinson and an anonymous prayer from the Jewish Prayer Book entitled We Remember Them. This work received its American premiere in April 2015 by the Opus Chorale of West Virginia, conducted by David F. Donathan. This version was updated by the composer in 2018. Not dedicated to any particular person or group, this work was written with the aim of providing solace to people who are in pain and grieving or to assist in a moment of remembrance and honoring. 10999679 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . 19.95 11175987 TTBB Choral Score . . . . . . . 19.95 10999680 Instrumental Parts for SATB Version . . . . . . . . 185.00 11175989 Instrumental Parts for TTBB Version . . . . . . . . 185.00 Samba Mass—Bob Chilcott. The stylistic piano part can be played as written or serve as a guide, and an optional band part is available separately. Performers will enjoy exploring the interplay between voices and the rich colours of the samba and bossa nova styles. 11160114 SATB Vocal Score . . . . . . . . 12.25 11160115 SSA Vocal Score . . . . . . . . . 12.25 11160155 Instrumental Parts Guitar & Bass . . . . . . . . . . . . 11.75 The Song of Harvest—Bob Chilcott. With the theme of thanksgiving, this work is an artfully crafted celebration of the earth and its riches. It is structured around five familiar hymns given original melodies and the opportunity for the audience or congregation to join with the choir. The work may be performed as a whole or each hymn sung separately. 11372376 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . 15.50 Songs for the Journey—Kevin Siegfried. This work outlines and explores similar themes as the traditional Latin Requiem - love, faith, mortality, surrender to an eternal will - but in a less ecclesiastical framework, with poems and texts drawn from a variety of sources. Commissioned in 2010 to be performed alongside Gabriel Faure's Requiem, this work utilizes the same combination of instruments. Contents include: Into Your Hands; When All That's Left of Me Is Love; More Love; Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep (soprano solo) and Celtic Blessing. 11164360 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . 6.50 St Martin's Mass—David Bednall. This congregational mass is short and very singable, with organ accompaniment and nicely contrasted movements. The congregational part may be photocopied from the back of the vocal score and is easily sung. 11199027 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . 4.25 Te Deum (We Praise Thee, O God)— Michael John Trotta. This vibrant and expressive three-movement setting delivers a poignant reflection on one of the oldest Christian hymns. It may be performed in Latin or English. Three accompaniment options include organ only; organ, brass, timpani, and percussion (eight players total); or chamber orchestra (14+ players). Approximately 15 minutes long, it is suitable for liturgical or concert settings. 11393198 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . . 9.95 11393201 Organ, Brass, Percussion - Score . . . . . . . . 99.00 11393202 Organ, Brass, P ercussion Parts . . . . . . . . . . 149.00 11393203 Chamber Orchestra - Score . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 125.00 11393204 Chamber Orchestra Parts . . 199.00 Te Deum: Laudamus Propter Musicam (Te Deum to Music)—Allan Robert Petker. The traditional Te Deum takes on a fresh perspective in this three-movement work; the full title means "praise to God for music." The first movement pays homage to our Baroque ancestry in its Handelian treatment, but in modern-day tonalities. The second is lush and tender, while the third blends the traditional Latin text with the beautiful poetry of Fred Pratt Green, When in Our Music God Is Glorified. Composed for choir and orchestra, it is performable with piano alone or with several different orchestral options. It has been performed at Carnegie Hall and throughout the U.S. and Europe. 11356663 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . . 9.99 11356664 Full Score for Small Ensemble. . . . . . . . 75.00 11356665 Full Score for Chamber Ensemble . . . . 85.00 11356666 Full Orchestra Score. . . . . . 100.00 Tuvayhun (Beatitudes for a Wounded World)—Kim Andre Arnesen. With a moving text by Charles Anthony Silvestri, this innovative 80-minute major work in ten movements is based on the Beatitudes, with a message of inclusion, trust, kindness, compassion, humanity, and mutual respect. With a mix of Aramaic and English text, this moving work incorporates ancient and contemporary styles and ideals. The modern hybrid style includes theatrical elements and influences of classical, jazz, and world music. Scored for either treble or mixed choirs with baritone, contralto, and child soprano soloists, the work is accompanied by strings, flutes, hammered dulcimer (cimbalom) or guitar, harp, and a variety of other percussion and world instruments to create its unique sound and presentation. Commissioned by the Manhattan Girls Chorus and artistic director Michelle Oesterle in 2018, this work is socially responsive and shines a light on modern issues affecting our world such as poverty, the refugee crisis, discrimination, and persecution. 11160525 SATB Choral Score . . . . . . . 17.99 11160526 SSAA Choral Score . . . . . . . 17.99 11160527 Full Score for SATB version. . . . . . . . . 185.00 11160528 Full Score for SSAA version. . . . . . . . . 185.00 NEW MAJOR WORKS
