Matthew Prins. ECSTASY from The Sacred Harp is quite representative of the early American music form, and this setting accurately reflects the style. It should be played as quickly as is reasonable for the group, with attention to clarity and precision in the rhythm while clearly emphasizing the melody. Echoes, mallets, thumb damps, and marts add to the excitement. 11405400 3-5 Octave . . . . . . . L2+ 4.25 Out of Darkness—Jason W. Krug. This forceful original work is the perfect choice for worship or concert use! With no notes shorter than quarter notes, beginning ringers can instead focus on the many bell changes found throughout. Some of the trickier changes are indicated by cue-sized notes, making them optional for less-experienced ringers, but providing a bit of extra challenge for musicians approaching an intermediate level of ringing. 11406331 2-3 Octave . . . . . . . . L2- 4.50 Praise to the Living God—arr. Mark S. Arnold. The minor key and contrasting sections make it appropriate for Lent or general worship. 11416659 3-5 Octave . . . . . . . . L3- 4.95 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty—arr. Sandra Eithun. Suited for sacred or festival use, this arrangement is available in two compatible settings and is perfect for developing ensembles or for more advanced ringers with limited preparation time. The upbeat opening is engaging, and throughout the piece, LV passages, mallets, and dynamic changes provide variety and interest. With limited bell changes and straightforward rhythms, your ensemble will have this mastered in no time. 11417022 2-3 Octave . . . . . . . . .L2 4.95 11417023 3-5 Octave . . . . . . . . .L2 4.95 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty—Cathy Moklebust. Alternating between 6/8 and 3/4 meters and accompanied by energetic LV eighth-note patterns, this sparkling arrangement of LOBE DEN HERREN is a thrilling and satisfying addition to the handbell repertoire. A calm variation in the middle section provides contrast as handchimes are used to highlight the melody and a softer, flowing eighth-note pattern is used for the accompaniment. The exciting final section modulates up a step and returns to the original material, ending powerfully. 11102197 3-5 Octave . . . . . . . . .L3 4.50 Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven (LAUDA ANIMA)—arr.
