groovy original work that is a fresh addition to the
concert band repertoire and introduces young
musicians to the blues scale. Vibes, muted trumpet,
alto sax, clarinet, and flute create a cool film noir
style opening that gives way to a rock blues groove.
An open solo section is written out for trumpet and
alto sax.

The Country Club Stomp!—JaRod Hall. Experience
a New Orleans vibe with this exciting, parade-inspired
crowd pleaser! A celebration of music, life, and love,
this piece has an infectious rhythmic groove and a
spirited melody. Elements of jazz occur throughout,
and there is strong reference to the West African circle
dances from which this music evolved. Stellar writing
that is fun, catchy, informative, spirited - and very
accessible. Musicians and audiences won't be able
to get enough!

Country Tune from County Perry—Greg Fhiaras.
Take a ride in the country with this lively tune! Start out
with a percussion solo, then a unison clarinet melody
leads us along a melodic road, picking up the flutes
on the countermelody. The brass enter as we roll into
town and take their turn with the melody. Flowing
along, the woodwinds continue with a contrasting
legato section. Finally the low brass takes over as we
come across a farm - but watch out as we accelerate
to get away from a threatening bull! This is perfect
light programming for concert or festival that your
players and audiences will love!

Creepy Crawlies—Michael Story. Your audience
might squirm a bit when they hear this creepy novelty!
Some cute mouthpiece effects will bring vivid images
of hovering bugs (perhaps too vivid!) but rest assured,
the bug'll get it in the end. Along with the fun, Mike
Story also found room to slip in some good staccato
work and some technique work for the woodwinds. A
fun piece for beginners!
