returns to the opening energy where the (optional)
violin adds more Celtic flair. This anthem, usable
throughout the year, is great fun to sing and
appealing to the congregation. Parts for

Shalom—Dan Forrest.
This tender and comforting work "passes the
peace" as its simple yet elegant melody washes
over the listener, gently unfolding its text with
increasing texture: "Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give to you, not as the world gives; do not
be afraid." The Hebrew word "shalom" forms the
refrains, and whispers of the word "peace" further
paint the spirit and promise of the text. With piano
and optional violin, this piece is equally at home in
worship or concert settings.

Whatever May Be—David Lantz III.
This profound text by Thomas Henry Roehrich is a
warm reminder to cast all our cares upon Him, for
no matter what, His love never fails. The chorus,
"Slow me down, that I might see that the love You
have for me shall be mine eternally, whatever may
be" gives assurance, and the upbeat, syncopated
melody lingers long after the anthem is done. Use
for a general anthem, prayer response, or as a
post-Easter anthem.
