Commissioned by the St. Olaf Choir for the 2016 St. Olaf Christmas Festival, this work is a thanksgiving, a song about the gift of a tiny child that suggests that only the nature of love is changeless. It sings about our renewed hope and how light now shines because Christmas is a new and refreshing gift; our hearts are renewed, and our hope is renewed. This joyful reflection was written for Christmas, but can be sung at any time of year as a song of hope. 10773131 SATB . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .M 2.10 Hodie—Jacob Narverud.
