The Sacred Veil—Eric Whitacre. Written
with poet Charles Anthony Silvestri, this
twelve-movement work chronicles the rich
life of Tony and his late wife Julie Silvestri
and their journey through cancer. Hauntingly
beautiful and expressive, this work contains a
cappella movements as well as movements
accompanied by piano and cello. The
development of the story is expressed through
repeated motives and tone painting of the
text. Commissioned, premiered, and recorded
by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, this
memorable tribute is rich in texture, emotion,
and beauty. The third movement Home, the
eleventh movement You Rise, I Fall, and the
twelfth movement Child of Wonder are all
also available separately, as well as an ePrint
bundle that contains all three titles.

Songs My Heart Has Taught Me—Bob

Songs of Peace—Will Todd. Written in
memory of the composer's mother, Will
Todd's Songs of Peace is a beautiful six-
movement work about love and loss. Two
of the movements are scored for two-part
treble voices, while the other four movements
are in a SATB divisi format. Although not a
conventional Requiem, it might be appropriate
in a memorial context, but should by no
means be confined to it. In many ways it is
a very 'life-affirming' work, characterized by
jazz-infused harmonic language, memorable
melodies, and powerful and personal texts.
Songs of Peace is designed as a work which
may be performed complete, or as separate
stand-alone movements, some of which are
available separately. It can be accompanied
by piano alone (as written, embellished or
improvised - chord symbols are supplied
where appropriate) or jazz trio (piano, bass
and drums - parts available separately).
Movements include: Requiem; Precious
Moment; Just as I Am; Ave verum; A Song of
Peace; Into the Stars.

Tuvayhun (Beatitudes for a Wounded World)
—Kim Andre Arnesen. Grammy-nominated for
Best Engineered Classical Album, Tuvayhun
has a moving text by Charles Anthony Silvestri.
This innovative 80-minute major work is based
on the Beatitudes, with a message of inclusion,
trust, kindness, compassion, humanity, and
mutual respect. With a mix of Aramaic and
English text, this moving work incorporates
ancient and contemporary styles and ideals.
The modern hybrid style includes theatrical
elements and influences of classical, jazz,
and world music. Scored for either treble or
mixed choirs with baritone, alto, and child
soprano soloists, the work is accompanied by
strings, flutes, hammered dulcimer (cimbalom),
harp, and a variety of other percussion and
world instruments to create its unique sound
and presentation. Commissioned by the
Manhattan Girls Chorus and artistic director
Michelle Oesterle in 2018, this work is socially
responsive and shines a light on modern
issues affecting our world such as poverty, the
refugee crisis, discrimination, and persecution.

Aron Accurso. This three-movement suite
for tenor-bass choirs is intended to elevate
conversations regarding mental health. The
composer brings his sense of the dramatic to
this powerful score. The first movement, Inside
the Storm, is a cappella and filled with lyrics and
harmonies that create a sense of questioning
and discomfort. The second, A Thought Storm,
is tumultuous, like an onslaught of negative
