text for this composition is taken from several
familiar passages of scripture referencing
the invitation to "knock and the door shall be
opened." Musical motifs describe both the open
door and the admonition to "listen." Part of the
Association of Anglican Musicians Series, the
anthem uses organ accompaniment to support
and enhance the choral writing.

Requiem—Eliza Gilkyson/arr. Craig Hella
Johnson. Singer/songwriter Eliza Gilkyson
wrote Requiem as a song of grief following
the Asian tsunami in December 2004, and the
song found a renewed audience after Hurricane
Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region. This
setting by Conspirare conductor Craig Hella
Johnson is powerful in its emotional impact.
