driving and energetic E minor work is one
your students will ask for over and over! It's
a great piece for differentiation in your young
orchestra. Second violins and violas double
while sticking to the first six notes of the D
scale. Cello, bass, and firsts are introduced
carefully to C naturals on the A string, with
basses remaining in first position. A wide
range of dynamics and engaging elements

arr. Mekel Rogers. The South African hymn
Siyahamba serves as the basis for this
happy interpretation of the famous African
folk song. Translated, the word means "We

layer of authenticity to the music. An excellent
opportunity to expose students to world music
as well as dotted and syncopated rhythms.
