A truly unique concert opener, this dark, intense fanfare is not for the faint of heart. It is in 3/4, but conducted in a brisk one, making it a challenging work for every player in the band. With each passing measure the audience will be riveted to every note, and will want to hear more once the piece comes to an exhilarating climax! 10012967 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . . 110.00 A Mother of a Revolution!—Omar Thomas. This piece is a celebration of the bravery of trans women, and in particular, Marsha "Pay It No Mind" Johnson. Marsha is credited with being one of the instigators of the famous Stonewall uprising of June 28, 1969 - a pivotal event in the gay rights movement of the 20th century. The disco vibe in the latter half of the piece is meant to honor club culture, a sacred space among LGBTQ people in which to love, live, mourn, heal, strategize, connect, disconnect, and dance. This piece was commissioned by the Desert Winds Freedom Band to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. 11392165 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . . 140.00 Mount Everest—Rossano Galante. Experience the epic grandeur and beauty of the world's tallest mountain. Comprising robust brass melodies, sweeping woodwinds and rhythmic ostinati, this musical representation captures the majesty and might of one of nature's greatest creations. 10093421 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . . . 80.00 Mountain Lake at Dawn (from "Three American Scenes")—Samuel A. Livingston. This exemplary depiction of the American landscape is a wonderfully harmonious work for band! Written in Livingston's succinct style, with a heavy focus on orchestration, this beautifully lyrical piece is a perfect addition to any concert or contest program. 11590188 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . . . 65.00 O Magnum Mysterium—Morten Lauridsen/arr. Reynolds. This fine arrangement brings Morton Lauridsen's reverent masterwork to the concert band stage. A serene and expressive composition, the fluid lines and lovely harmonies will both challenge and engage your performers. We are proud to give this our highest recommendation. 2476926 Band Set & Score . . . . . . . . . . 85.00 October—Eric Whitacre. This rich serenade is full of beautiful melodies and warm harmonies.
